SKYBELT (Enhancement of engineering skills of students of all levels for application of evidence based sustainable renewable energy solutions in the built environment)
Organization in charge at Naresuan University
Faculty of Engineering (Asst. Prof. Kwanchai Kraitong)
Main Partner University
UNIVERSITA TELEMATICA E-CAMPUS, ITALY
Project Members at Naresuan University
• Asst. Prof. Kwanchai Kraitong
• Assoc. Prof. Patomsok Wilaipon
• Assoc. Prof. Piyanun Charoensawan
• Asst. Prof. Ninnart Rachapradit
Objectives
Specific objectives of the Project are the same for Partner Universities :
• Familiarisation of academic, technical and administrative staff in partner Universities with best practices in EU Universities and improving their qualifications.
• Modernisation of the structure, content, learning outcomes and teaching methods of core modules for Bachelor, Master and PhD students in partner Universities to the level of quality, corresponding to the EU level.
• Implementation of the modernised modules and novel ICT based teaching methods in partner Universities.
• Improvement of Skills Development of PhD students for meeting career requirements.
• Implementation of the EU-like standard quality assurance of the content of modernised modules, their teaching methods and examination procedures.
• Improving quality of education by ensuring that didactic materials and training methods in partner Universities satisfy EU quality assurance requirements and using distance learning technology.
• To develop high quality Project Network, including industrial companies, administrative and public bodies (decision makers) and other Universities in the Region.
• To improve the employability of graduates at national and international levels.
• To strengthen knowledge of staff of organistaions, involved in Porject Network, on lastest developments in Integration of Sustainable Renewable Energy Solutions into Built Environment.
Outputs & Outcomes
The planned Project activities and the expected results will meet the needs of the identified target groups in the Partner Countries in a similar way as described below:
Students at Bachelor, Master and PhD levels will be taking modernised modules (at least 4 at Bachelor and at least 3 and 1 at Master and PhD levels) at each partner University which will be enhancing and enriching their personal qualifications and knowledge and familiarisation with EU educational practices. This in its turn, significantly improve their employability.
PhD students from each partner University will receive support in their Skills development and training which will be enhancing and enriching their personal qualifications and knowledge and familiarisation with EU educational practices. This in its turn, significantly improve their employability. Partner Universities needs will be met since they will own Bachelor, Master and PhD level modernised modules with new materials and implement educational Quality assurance procedures, typical to EU Universities. They will establish long standing cooperation between EU and partner Universities and companies and sign.
Academic staff at Partner Universities will be trained by their colleagues at EU Universities on latest developments in creation of didactic materials in the subject area. They will be familiarised and trained in modern teaching and pedagogical approaches and examination procedures, implemented at EU Universities in line with EU quality assurance in the HE sector. Academic staff will also visit local EU companies, involved in Project Network, to familiarise themselves with the latest trends in developing Renewable Energy Technologies. So they will be direct beneficiaries in terms of enhancing and enriching their personal qualifications and knowledge and familiarisation with EU educational practices. They will sign Memorandum of Understanding on long term strategic cooperation with EU partners and This will enhance their regional reputation and improve international standing of the University.
