Objectives
The aim of the project is to provide high-quality postgraduate education on energy supply systems for Engineers and graduates from science departments, seeking involvement or employment in projects in countries with many isolated areas and insular systems. The more skilled the technicians and engineers are, the lower the danger of prolonged power shortages is, and finally, it will decrease the energy cost on islands and will also improve the economic activity in the isolated areas.
The project's other objectives include:
To define best practices for courses, including procedures and requirements for certification of the achieved qualification in energy systems at regional or national level and recommendations to stakeholders.
To define best practices for the implementation vocational training, including incentives for energy systems’ professionals to qualify and find financial resources.
Outputs & Outcomes
The project outputs will be adaptations of existing MSc courses, new MSc courses, or even dedicated MSc programs focus on isolated areas and their energy supply needs. In any case, the major aim of the project is to provide a path assuring that MSc students in the partner country universities will consider masters in energy supply in isolated areas.
