Objectives
FOUNTAIN has outlined a series of specific, interconnected objectives.
• The first goal of FOUNTAIN is to trace, delimit, and map the gaps in University Industry Collaboration (UIC) that have been identified through the needs assessment, survey analysis, and SWOT analysis conducted in collaboration with partners in Thailand and Sri Lanka. Closing these gaps will, among other things, lay the groundwork for the work being done in the development of WPs.
• Our second goal is to promote greater alignment between the interests of businesses and the national public interest, particularly in the areas of climate change, sustainability, digital transformation, green business and entrepreneurship, and disaster resilience in the agricultural sector.
• The third goal is to develop UIC frameworks, a global agro-industry forum, and university-industry engagement camps to improve student mobility through enhanced degree program recognition.
• The fourth goal is the development of innovative and entrepreneurial curricula and internship modules based on university-industry collaborations.
• The fifth goal is to increase innovation and entrepreneurship in the HEIs by creating collaborative efforts with corporate actors through an online interface to facilitate the transition of concepts into exercise and to assist start-ups and scale-ups while integrating different intellectual capital at these HEIs.
• The sixth goal of FOUNTAIN is to establish a center of excellence in entrepreneurship, invention, and innovation and to integrate with the UIC platform to cater to the demands of multiple stakeholders in the region as part of a larger endeavor of evidence-based policy in the program countries.
• Our seventh goal is to promote effective, systematic, and inclusive solutions for gender equity, women's empowerment, social inclusion, and diversity while exploring the nexus of technology and society.

Outputs & Outcomes
• The second goal is to reach out to HEIs as well as business and government actors for better networking among the organizations, mainly academic institutes such as universities and staff, enabling capacity development through a participatory approach. Collaborations between university academic staff and students, along with industrial personnel in both the government and private sectors, will open up space to disseminate knowledge and technology.
• The third goal is primarily aimed at students, but it also necessitates the participation of faculty members and, to a lesser extent, administrative staff, as well as enterprise actors.
• The fourth goal is to create a monitoring tool for monitoring the success of UIC and its own challenges, yet to sustainably overcome the adverse impacts of this change associated with agro-industries.
• The final goal of FOUNDATION is to achieve gender parity. FOUNTAIN aims to reinforce and promote the involvement of women in HEIs and in industries to strengthen the UIC.
